Description of key information

The melting point of the substance was determined to be 136.2 - 137 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Several GLP studies were conducted. They all resulted the melting point/range of the substance to be in the same range.

All studies were conducted in accordance with the OECD Guideline for the Testing of Chemicals. 102 "Melting Point / Melting Range" using the capillary method.

For the pure substance the melting range of the test item was determined to be 136.2 - 137 °C at 1013.25 hPa and 136.1 - 137.6 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

For the technical grade of the substance the melting point was determined to be 134 °C at 1013.25 hPa.

The value which originates from the recent study (136.2 - 137 °C at 1013.25 hPa) was chosen as key value for the melting point.
