Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Long-term toxicity to fish

In an OECD 210 study conducted according to GLP, exposure of newly fertilized eggs of the fathead minnow, Pimpephales promelas, to the test material under semi-static conditions was determined to have no effect on the survival or growth of the larvae. The No Observed Effect Loading Rate (NOELR) was 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.

Short-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In an OECD 202 study conducted according to GLP, the 48-Hour acute toxicity of the test material to the freshwater invertebrate daphnia magna is Effect Loading (EL)50 greater than 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The No Observed Effect Loading rate is 100 mg/L loading rate WAF.

Long-term toxicity to aquatic invertebrates

In an OECD 211 study conducted according to GLP, the long-term toxicity of the test material to the freshwater invertebrate,Daphnia magna, was investigated under semi-static conditions. The 21-Day EL50 values for immobilization in the parental daphnia generation (P1) and reproduction, based on nominal loading rates, were estimated to be greater than 100 mg/L loading rate WAF. The No Observed Effect Loading rate (NOEL) was considered to be 100 mg/L on the basis that at this test concentration there were no significant mortalities (immobilization) observed in the parental generation (P1) and that there were no significant differences (p>0.05) between the control and the 100 mg/L loading rate WAF test group in the numbers of live young produced per adult by Day 21.

Toxicity to aquatic algae

An OECD 201 study conducted according to GLP, was performed to assess the effect of the test item on the growth of the green alga (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata). After exposure of the test item it was observed an EL50 greater than 100 mg/L (Effect loading rate, WAF), and the No Observed Effect Loading Rate is 100 mg/L.

Toxicity to microorganisms

In an OECD 209 study, conducted according to GLP, the 3 hour toxicity of the test material to activated sewage sludge micro-organisms is EC50 greater than 1,000 mg/L. The 3 hour NOEC is 1,000 mg/L.
