Description of key information

In a valid acute oral toxicity study a LD50 > 2000 mg/kg bw (rat, male, female) was found. For acute dermal toxicity a LD50 > 2000 mg/kg bw was determined in a valid dermal toxicity test.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Acute toxicity: via oral route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
discriminating dose
Value:
2 000 mg/kg bw

Acute toxicity: via dermal route

Endpoint conclusion
Dose descriptor:
discriminating dose
Value:
2 000 mg/kg bw

Additional information

In the acute oral toxicity study no signs of intoxication were observed after application of 2000 mg/kg bw. No deaths occured. None of the animals sacrificed at the end of study showed any noticable gross pathological findings.

No signs of systemic poisoning were observed in the acute dermal toxicity study. No deaths occured. None of the animals sacrificed at the end of the 14-day observation period showed any noticable gross pathological findings.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Due to results of the acute oral and acute dermal toxicity study a classification is not justified
