ASTM D2386
Principles of method if other than guideline:
Standard Test Method for Freezing Point of Aviation Fuels
A small tube with a double wall jacket and a thermometer is inserted in the tube. The small tune with the sample is then inserted in a larger tube containing coolant (dewar). The liquid is continuously stirred during freezing until crystallization is observed and the temperature is recorded.
