Preliminary Test

The estimated flash-point of the test item was 83.0°C.

Main Study

The results of the main study on the determination of the flash-point of the test item are given in Table 1.

The difference between the results obtained with the Test 1 and Test 2 was ≤ 2°C. From this, it was concluded that the flash-point of the test item is the lowest flash-point obtained.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 81°C.
Executive summary:

The closed cup method was applied for the determination of the flash-point of the test item, using an Eraflash flash point tester.

The flash point of the test item was determined to be 81°C.

Description of key information

81°C; ASTM D7094; Jovic Madzarevic, Z. (2020)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flash point at 101 325 Pa:
81 °C

Additional information

The flash point of the test item is determined to be 81°C. As this is > 60°C, the substance did not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixture.
