Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

According to the table 4.1.0 of the CLP Regulation (EC n. 1272/2008), a substance for wich adequate chronic toxicity data are not available shall be classified as

Aquatic Acute 1 when:

96 hr LC50 (for fish)≤1 mg/l and/or

48 hr EC50 (for crustacea)≤1mg/l and/or

72 or 96 hr ErC (for algae or other aquatic plants)≤1 mg/l

Category Chronic 3:

96 hr LC 50 (for fish) > 10 to ≤ 100 mg/l and/or

48 hr EC 50 (for crustacea) > 10 to ≤ 100 mg/l and/or

72 or 96 hr ErC 50 (for algae or other aquatic plants) > 10 to ≤ 100 mg/l. (Note 2)

and the substance is not rapidly degradable and/or the experimentally determined BCF ≥ 500 (or, if absent, the log K ow ≥ 4).

Based on the value of EC50, 48h for acute toxicity to Daphnia and the results for biodegradation, the substance is classified as H412, Aquatic Chronic 3
