Description of key information

A short-term toxicity to fish with FAT 20044/A was carried out in trout fishes. Based on the study results, the TL0, TL50 and TL100 of FAT 20044/A in trout fishes was >1000 mg/l. The short-term toxicity to daphnids was carried out with FAT 20044/B according to OECD guideline 202. No immobilization and abnormal behaviour of the daphnids was observed in the controls and in the test concentrations. The EC50 and the EC100 value could not be determined, but are clearly higher than 225 mg/l. EC 50 and NOEC of FAT 20044/C for inhibition in specific growth rate in frond number was 243.3 and 15 mg/L; EC 50 and NOEC for inhibition in yield rate in frond number was 119.3 and 15 mg/L, EC 50 and NOEC for inhibition in dry weight- growth rate was 210.1 and 135 mg/L while inhibition in dry weight – yield was 164.4 and 15 mg/L, respectively. Determination of the IC50 (3 h) (Activated sludge respiration inhibition test) with FAT 20044/B was carried out according to OECD guideline 209. Based on the study results, the IC50 (3 h) of FAT 20044/B is >320.0 mg/l.
