Description of key information

The test substance Scentaurus Juicy (GR-87 -7596) is readily biodegradable.

Key study, SEPA 301F, GLP, 2018:

Results showed that under the experimental conditions, biodegradation of test substance attained an average of 62% at Day 11 (Day 1 18%, Day 11 62%,10-d window criterion fulfilled) and 83% at Day 28. The test substance Scentaurus Juicy was readily biodegradable under the test conditions.

Supporting study, OECD 301F, GLP, 2018:

GR-87-7596 undergoes 55% biodegradation after 28 days (63% after 40 days) in the test conditions.

GR-87-7596 should be regarded as not readily biodegradable according to this test. GR-87-7596 should however be regarded as inherently biodegradable according to this test.

Supporting study, OECD 301F, not GLP, 2017:

GR-87-7596 undergoes 58% biodegradation after 28 days (76% biodegradation after 61 days) in the test conditions.

GR-87-7596 should be regarded as not readily biodegradable according to this test. GR-87-7596 should however be regarded as inherently biodegradable according to this test.
