Results

The test substance pile could not be ignited. In contact with the flame, PM-5927 melted, emitted yellow sparks and turned brown (original colour: off-white). After removal of the ignition source, no more sparks were observed.

Because no burning along 200 mm within 4 minutes was observed, no further testing was required.

Tris(4-chlorophenyl)sulfonium 5-benzoyl-4-hydroxy- 2-methoxybenzenesulfonate (PM-5927) is not "highly flammable" according to the criteria as described in the method A.10 of EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC.
