25 °C
Details on study design: HPLC method:
EQUIPMENT
- Apparatus: High performance liquid chromatograph (No. LC-134). LC-2010 AHT (Built in ultraviolet and visible spectrophotometer) (Shimadzu) (measurement wavelength 210 nm for reference item and 258 nm for test material).
- Type, material and dimension of analytical (guard) column: Inertsil CN-3 (150 mm x 2.1 mm I.D., particle size 5 μm, GL Sciences).

MOBILE PHASES
- Type: Methanol/purified water (60/40 v/v)
- Flow rate: 0.2 mL/min

REFERENCE SUBSTANCE
- Formamide (201.1 mg, 1 mL; 10 mL Methanol),
- N, N-Dimethylbenzamide (11.0 mg, 1 mL; 10 mL Methanol)
- Atrazine (10.1 mg, 1 mL; 10 mL Methanol)
- Linuron (2.12 mg, 1 mL; 2 mL Methanol)
- 1, 2, 3, - Trichlorobenzene (10.1 mg, 0.5 mL; 10 mL Methanol)
- Phenanthrene (10.2 mg, 2 mL; 10 mL Methanol)
- DDT (11.1 mg, 2 mL; 10 mL Methanol).

DETERMINATION OF RETENTION TIMES
- Quantity of test substance introduced in the column: 2 μL
- Quantity of reference substances: 2 μL
- Intervals of calibration: The reference material solution was injected before and after the injection of the test material solution to confirm that the retention times of the reference material did not change. Order was: reference material solution (first time), test material solution (first time), test material solution (second time), solvent blank, reference material solution (second time).

REPETITIONS
- Number of determinations: The test material retention time was measured twice.

EVALUATION
- Calculation of capacity factors k: Calculated from the retention time of the test material, using the following equation:

k = (tR - t0) / t0

Where:
tR: Retention time of reference material (min)
t0: Dead time (min) (average of two measured values).

- Determination of the log Koc value: The adsorption coefficient of the test material was calculated using the regression equation of regression line and was given as the average value of two calculated values.

log Koc = a x log k + b

Where:

a: Slope of regression equation
b: Intercept of regression equation
