Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with generally accepted scientific standards and described in sufficient detail
Qualifier:
equivalent or similar to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 109 (Density of Liquids and Solids)
Version / remarks:
Not specified
Deviations:
not specified
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
pour and tap (for solids)
Type:
tap density
Density:
0.83 g/cm³
Temp.:
24 °C
Conclusions:
The tap density of Sodium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide was 0.83 g/mL at 24°C.
Executive summary:

The tap density of Sodium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide was determined by using the pour and tap method for solids as described in OECD Guideline 109. An amount of 80 g (around 100 mL) sample was weighed in a 100 ml graduated cylinder. Hereafter the cylinder was tapped 50 times and the volume was recorded.

Description of key information

The tap density of Sodium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide was 0.83 g/mL at 24°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

One reliable key study is available for this endpoint. In this study the tap density of Sodium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide was determined by using the pour and tap method for solids as described in OECD Guideline 109.
