Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
>= 5.3 - <= 6.6
Temp.:
35 °C
pH:
7
Details on results:
In the conditions of the test, the chromatograms of GR-86-6599 show three peaks at average retention times of 11.967 minutes (21.1% relative peak area) corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 5.3; 16.731 minutes (52.4% relative peak area) corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 5.9* and 24.603 minutes (26.5% relative peak area) corresponding to a partition coefficient (log value) of 6.6*.
*Indicative values, peaks are outside calibration domain

The LogPow value of 5.9 has been taken as the most representative value and is the major component detected of the test item.

The determination was performed at 35°C (temperature of the column), but the value obtained above can be considered to represent the value at an unspecified, probably ambient temperature since no mention is made in the guidelines of the temperature at which the tabulated reference substances log Pow values were determined. Partition coefficients of the test and reference substances are assumed to vary with temperature in the same way.
Conclusions:
log Pow= 5.3; 5.9* and 6.6*
* indicative values, peaks are outside calibration domain
Executive summary:

The Partition Coefficient n-octanol/water of GR-86-6599 was determined by the Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic Method according to the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, Method No. 117.

The result is:

Partition coefficients n-octanol/water of GR-86-6599:

log Pow= 5.3; 5.9* and 6.6*

* indicative values, peaks are outside calibration domain

The LogPow value of 5.9 has been taken as the most representative value and is the major component detected of the test item.
