Conclusions:
The test substance was not a thermally sensitive, shock sensitive, and friction sensitive explosive
Executive summary:

The study was conducted according to EEC method A14.

The test substance was subjected to thermal and mechanical sensitivity tests to determine its explosive properties.

Koenen steel tube test (plate hole diameter: 2 and 6 mm): The tests showed that the test substance was not a thermally sensitive explosive.

BAM Fall hammer test (drop hammer weight 10 kg; drop height 40 cm): No signs of ignition or explosion in 6 tests. When the test assemblies were dismantled there were no signs of decomposition. The test substance was not a shock sensitive explosive.

BAM Friction test (test load: 36 kgf): No sign of ignition or explosion in 6 tests. Slight decomposition was indicated by dark mark on porcelain plate. The test substance was not a friction sensitive explosive.

In conclusion, the test substance does not posess any explosive properties.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Explosiveness:
non explosive

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

Substance was not explosive in a test according to EU Method A.14; therefore, no classification is required according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
