Description of key information

The test substance is light amber viscous liquid with faint characteristic estery odor according to EPA OPPTS 830.6302, 830.6303, 830.630. Melting point of 12.4 °C according to OECD 102; OPPTS 830.7200. Boiling point of 437 °C in accordance with OECD 103, EU Method A.2. Relative density at 20 °C is 1.3716 using the oscillating density meter method. The Vapour pressure was determined to be 2.6E-5 Pa at 20°C and 5.5E-5 Pa at 25°C according to OECD 104, EEC method A.4. Partition coefficient (Log Pow) of 4 at the 20 °C in accordance with OECD 107, EU Method A.8. Water solubility of 9.08 mg/L at 20 °C according to OECD 105; EU Method A.6. The fat solubility of the test substance at 310 K (37 °C) was determined according to the OECD-Guideline No. 116. The Surface tension of a 90% saturated aqueous solution: 59.87 m N/m at 20°C was determined according to the OECD-Guideline No.115; EU Method A.5. Flash point of the test substance is 186°C according to EU Method A.9.The autoflammabiIity of the test substance has been determined according to the EEC Directive 84/449/EEC test A15.The substance has a self-ignition temperature of 791 K (518°C) in accordance with EU Method A.15. Substance was not explosive in a test according to EU Method A.14; therefore, no classification is required according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, EU Method A.14. Substance was not oxidizing in a test according to EU Method A.21; therefore, no classification is required according to EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 according to EU Method A.21. No significant change observed after one month at either 100°F (38°C) ± 5°F and 122°F (50°C) ± 5°F or in contact with any of the metals after one month at 122°F±5°F . The pH of an approximately 1.00% wt/wt aqueous solution was 5.74 at 24.2 °C in accordance with OPPTS 830.7000. The test item was found to be Newtonian in its flow behaviour. The measured dynamic viscosity was 27720 mPa.s at 20°C and 596.2 mPa.s at 40°C. The kinematic viscosity was calculated as 20210 mm2/s at 20°C and 434.6 mm2/s at 40°C.
