Endpoint:
vapour pressure
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
18 Jan 2019
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: ASTM E-1719-97
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
dynamic method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
SOURCE OF TEST MATERIAL
- Source and lot/batch number of test material: M19-0093-001
Key result
Temp.:
25 °C
Vapour pressure:
< 0.8 mm Hg
Remarks on result:
other: Lowest measured vapor pressure at 161.8 °C. Estimated <3E-05 mmHg. Based on trial 1 only.
Trial #1
Temp °C Pvap, mmHg
186.9 3.4
193.7 5.2
209.1 10.1
227.3 20.1

Trail #2
Temp °C Pvap, mmHg
161.1 0.8
185.0 3.3
193.1 5.2
208.8 10.1
228.8 20.0
Conclusions:
MTDID 18990 has an vapor pressure of < 0.8 mm Hg at 25 °C [ASTM E-1719-97].
Executive summary:

The vapor pressure of MTDID 18990 was measured using the dynamic method. Due to limited accuaracy in the extrapolation, the vapor pressure was reported as less than the lowest measured value. Extrapolation of one trial data to lower temperatures (25 °C) using the Antoine equation gave a value <3E-05 mm Hg, while the other trial gave a value <4E-27 mmHg. The study was performed in accordance with a national test guideline but not GLP compliant, therefore the study is considered reliable with restrictions.
