Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Bring injured person into fresh air. Take medical advice if
respiratory symptoms occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse the eye immediately with water for at least 15
minutes. Open eyes wide. Remove any contact lenses. Seek
medical advice. If possible, continue rinsing until doctor
takes over treatment.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothes. Wash contaminated skin with
water and soap. Take medical advice, if reaction persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse out mouth thoroughly with water and give plenty of
water to drink to conscious persons. Do not provoke
vomiting. If unwell, take medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder
Product arising from burning: None identified. L-TEE is not highly flammable.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full breathing protection, gloves, goggles.
There must be an easy access to plentiful water supply,
emergency- or hand-shower and eye-rinsing bottle.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Use the same personal protection equipment as used for
handling (see section 2.3.90).
Sweep or pick up spill for possible reuse or mix with an
absorbant (e.g. sand / vermiculite) and place in suitable
waste container. Clean contaminated surfaces with base and
excess of water.
Collect spills and waste in closed and sealed containers and
send to local disposal facility for chemical waste.
Handling and storage
Handling: Work must be done with effective mechanical ventilation
(e.g. local extractor fan). There must be access to running
water and eye wash.
In case of insufficient ventilation, wear respiratory
protection equipment with filter P2.
Wear disposable gloves of type PVC or NBR.
Wear eye protection on risk of splashes in the eye.
Storage: L-TEE may be stored in closely sealed high-density
polyethylene (HDPE) containers. Must be stored in a deep
freezer (-18 degrees Celsius).
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: L-TEE may be packed in closely sealed high-density
polyethylene (HDPE) containers. Deep freezing (-18 degrees
Celsius) must be maintained.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Engineering measures: Provide adequate ventilation. The risk of inhalation of dust must be minimized as much as possible.
Personal protection: Personal protection equipment should be chosen according to the CEN standards and in discussion with the supplier of the personal protective equipment.
Respiratory equipment: During dust-raising work: If ventilation is insufficient, suitable respiratory protection must be provided. Use respiratory equipment with particle filter, type P3.
Hand protection: Use protective gloves. Suitable gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.
Eye protection: Dust-raising handling: Wear tight-fitting goggles or face shield.
Hygiene measures: Wash hands after handling. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Environmental Exposure Controls: Not available
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: None identified.
Chemical reaction with water: No dangerous reactions with water identified.
Dust explosion: Not known.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
