Details on results:
The retention time of L-TEE : 2.484 min.
The retention time of Formamide (the void volume marker): 2.437 min.
The retention time of Butanone (the calibration compound): 3.405 min.

NA

Conclusions:
The partition coefficient of L-TEE was determined in accordance with EU Method A.8 and OECD Guideline 117. The log Pow of L-TEE was determined to be below 0.3
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient of L-TEE was determined in accordance with EU Method A.8 and OECD Guideline 117.

The octanol-water partition coefficient of L-TEE was evaluated using the HPLC simulation technique with methanol-water, 55:45 as eluent. L-TEE eluted as a single component with a retention time effectively equivalent to that of the void volume marker formamide, and therefore the partition coefficient, whilst being below a log Pow value of 0.3, could not be more fully numerically evaluated.

Description of key information

The log Pow of L-TEE was determined to be below 0.3

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Log Kow (Log Pow):

Additional information

The partition coefficient of L-TEE was determined in accordance with EU Method A.8 and OECD Guideline 117.

The octanol-water partition coefficient of L-TEE was evaluated using the HPLC simulation technique with methanol-water, 55:45 as eluent. L-TEE eluted as a single component with a retention time effectively equivalent to that of the void volume marker formamide. Therefore, the partition coefficient could not be more numerically evaluated, but is below 0.3.
