First-aid measures

- General advice: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
- Following inhalation: Upon inhalation of aerosol/vapour/dust: Take the patient into the fresh air; if there is difficulty in breathing, medical advice is required.
- Following skin contact: Remove all contaminated clothing immediately. Cleansing with plenty of water, soap or other non-irritating cleansing agents.
- Following eye contact: Contamination of the eyes must be treated by thorough irrigation with water, with the eyelids held open. A doctor (or eye specialist ) should be consulted immediately.
- Following ingestion: If the product is swallowed, the patient must at once drink water repeatedly, if possible with the addition of activated carbon. If the patient feels unwell, seek medical advice.
- Most important symptoms and effects: not applicable. Substance is not classified.

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, foam, dry powder
- Unsuitable extinguishing media: CO2
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: not determined
- Advice for firefighters:
Special protective equipment for firefighting: Firemen have to wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions: Avoid formation and deposition of dust.
- Environmental precautions: Do not empty into drains or waters.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Take up spilled product with dust-binding material or suitable vacuum cleaner. Fill into labelled, sealable containers.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:
Advice on safe handling: Avoid formation and deposition of dust.
Keep container tightly closed and dry.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Observe the usual precautionary measures required for chemicals with dust-explosive properties. Observe national regulations.

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Requirements for storage rooms and vessels: Store in original container in a cool, dry place.
In filling operations take precautionary measures against static discharges.
Storage class: 11 Combustible solids
Storage stability: not determined

Exposure controls / personal protection

- General protective measures: Do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Inhalation of dust and aerosols must be absolutely prevented by either adequate ventilation or by a suitable mask. People with chron ic respiratory problems should not work with reactive dyestuff powders. If symptoms such as tightness in the chest or asthma occur w hile handling reactive dyestuff powders, a physician should be consulted as soon as possible. If hypersensitivity is confirmed, all contact with reactive dyestuff powders must cease immediately.
- Hygiene measures: Keep away from food and drink stuffs.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke at work.
- Wash hands before breaks and at end of work and use skin-protecting ointment.
- Respiratory protection: Dust mask with particle filter.
- Hand protection: Wear suitable gloves e.g. of PVC or nitrile rubber. In the event of contamination, change protective gloves immediately.
- Eye protection: safety glasses with side protection shield
- Body protection: Wear protective clothing.

Stability and reactivity

- Reactivity: No hazardous reactions when stored and handled according to prescribed instructions.
- Chemical stability
Thermal decomposition: No thermal decomposition when stored and handled correctly.
- Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Hazardous reactions: In the case of dusty organic products the possibility of a dust explosion should always be considered.
Hazardous decomposition products: not applicable
- Conditions to avoid: not necessary
- Incompatible materials (for avoidable materials): not necessary
- Hazardous decomposition products: not applicable

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:
Product: If utilization or recycling of the product is not possible, it should be disposed of according to the local regulations and laws, e.g. by incineration in a suitable plant.
European Waste Catalogue (EWC) code: 040217 Dyestuffs and pigments other than those mentioned in 040216
Uncleaned packaging: Soiled, empty containers are to be treated in the same way as the contents.
