First-aid measures

Description of First Aid Measures:
In all cases keep the victim at physical and mental rest and warm. In all serious events and always in case of eye contact, get medical advice.

Breake the exposure, transfer the victim to the fresh air, apply artificial respiration, if the victim is not breathing.

Skin Contact:
Take off immediately contaminated clothing and flush affected area with plenty of water (preferably lukewarm) and soap.

Eye Contact:
Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, get medical advice.

Rinse mouth with clean water, drink about 0.2 - 0.3 l of water, DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Seek medical attention. If the victim vomits on his own, ensure supervision until the doctor arrives.

Most Important Symptoms and Effects, both Acute and Delayed:
not known

Indication of any Immediate Medical Attention and Special Treatment Needed:
Always seek medical attention in case of contact with eyes and if swallowed.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable Extinguishing Media:
Water spray, Foam, Dry chemical, Carbon dioxide.

Unsuitable Extinguishing Media:
Direct water jet.

Special Hazards Arising from the Substance / Mixture:
When burning may produce oxides of carbon, nitrogen and sulphur.

Advice for Firefighters:
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus (EN 137) and clothing protective against chemicals.

Accidental release measures

Personal protection:
void contact with skin and eyes.
Hazard of slipping on leaked/spilled product.
Prevent access to unauthorised persons.

Environmental precautions:
Stop the leak if possible. Do not empty into drains. Do not allow to enter waters or soil.

Methods for cleaning up:
Cover up spill liquid with sand or earth, place in a closed container and transfer for disposal.

Handling and storage

Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Use with adequate ventilation. Do not allow contact with water. Wash clothing before reuse. Keep from contact with moist air and steam.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as following European Standard EN 166.
Wear appropriate protective gloves and clothing to prevent skin exposure.
A respiratory protection program that meets European Standard EN 149 must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator´s use.

Stability and reactivity

Stable at room temperature in closed containers under normal storage and handling conditions.
Strong bases, strong acids, strong oxidising agents.
Carbon monooxide, carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and sulphur, irritating and toxic fumes and gases.

Disposal considerations

Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. dry sand or earth), then place into a chemical waste container. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to waterways. Clean up spills immediately, using the appropriate protective equipment. Provide ventilation. Do not get water inside containers.
