The most significant environment fate pathway for these phosphites is hydrolysis - which occurs readily with half-lives of less than a day (>1 -17 hours, depending on chemical structure and pH).

Bioaccumulation estimates are all low for these substances and are well below the BCF criterion for PBT, as such these phosphites are not classified as PBTs.

While this substance does not have a ready biodegradation results, this class of phosphites has recently been shown to be readily biodegradable when the test method addresses the poor water solubility of the substance.
