The thermograms of each determination were recorded. The extrapolated endotherm onset temperature in the thermograms was interpreted as the melting temperature. The following melting temperatures were determined:

- determination 1: 117.83 °C

- determination 2: 118.05 °C

- determination 3: 118.00 °C

- determination 4: 117.79 °C

Conclusions:
The melting temperature of the substance was 117.9 °C at atmospheric pressure of 102 kPa.
Executive summary:

The melting temperature of the test substance was determined under GLP in accordance with OECD TG 102, using differential scanning calorimetry. The accuracy of the apparatus was determined with indium and zinc prior to the test measurements. Aliquots of about 5 mg of the test substance were weighed into aluminium crucibles with manually pierced lids, which were placed in the calorimeter. The temperature was increased from 80 °C at 1 °C/minute. Two determinations were conducted in air and two in a nitrogen atmosphere. Essentially identical thermograms were obtained in all four determinations. The extrapolated endotherm onset temperature was interpreted as the melting temperature. The average melting temperature of the four determinations was 117.9 °C at an atmospheric pressure of 102 kPa.
