First-aid measures

- General advice:

- Following inhalation:

fresh air.

- Following skin contact:

Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/ shower.

- Following eye contact:

rinse out with plenty of water. Call in ophthalmologist. Remove contact lenses.

- Following ingestion:

immediately make victim drink water (two glasses at most). Consult a physician.

- Most important symptoms and effects: irritant effects

Fire-fighting measures

- Suitable extinguishing media:

Water, Foam, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder

- Unsuitable extinguishing media:

For this substance/mixture no limitations of extinguishing agents are given.

- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:

Combustible. Vapours are heavier than air and may spread along floors. Forms explosive mixtures with air on intense heating. Development of hazardous combustion gases or vapours possible in the event of fire.

- Advice for fire fighter: Stay in danger area only with self-contained breathing apparatus. Prevent skin contact by keeping a safe distance or by wearing suitable protective clothing. Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Accidental release measures

- Personal precautions:

Advice for non-emergency personnel: Avoid inhalation of vapours/aerosols or dusts. Avoid substance contact. Ensure adequate ventilation. Evacuate the danger area, observe emergency procedures, consult an expert.

- Protective equipment and emergency procedures: see exposure controls/personal protection

- Environmental precautions:

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system

- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Cover drains. Collect, bind, and pump off spills. Take up with suitable equipment. Dispose of properly. Clean up affected area.

Handling and storage

- Precautions for safe handling:

Advice on safe handling: Observe label precautions.

Hygiene measures: Immediately change contaminated clothing. Apply preventive skin protection. Wash hands and face after working with substance

- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Store in original container.

Further information on storage conditions: Tightly closed. Dry.

Recommended storage temperature: Recommended storage temperature see product label.

Exposure controls / personal protection

1. Technical protection measures: Technical measures and appropriate working operations should be given priority over the use of personal protective equipment.

2. Organisational protection measures

3. Hand protection:

splash contact

Glove material: Viton®

Glove thickness: 0,7 mm

Break through time: 10 min

4. Feet protection

5. Body protection: Protective clothing

6. Eye protection: Safety glasses

7. Respiratory protection: required when dusts/vapours/aerosols are generated. Filter A-(P2)

Stability and reactivity

1. Reactivity

: The following applies in general to flammable organic substances and mixtures: in correspondingly fine distribution, when whirled up a dust explosion potential may generally be assumed. Forms explosive mixtures with air on intense heating. A range from approx. 15 Kelvin below the flash point is to be rated as critical.

2. Chemical stability

: The product is chemically stable under standard ambient conditions (room temperature).

3. Possibility of hazardous reactions

: Violent reactions possible with: Strong oxidizing agents

4. Conditions to avoid

: Strong heating.

5. Incompatible materials

6. Hazardous decomposition products: firefighting measures

Disposal considerations

According to national regulations.
