Results and discussion

Relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self ignition observed under the test conditions
Remarks:
no self-ignition up to a temperature of 400°C

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
No self-ignition up to a temperature of 400°C is shown.
Executive summary:

The self ignition temperature of Sodium surfactin was dertermined by placing the test item into a stainless steel cube and heating from room temperature to the nominal oven temperature of 400°C. No very sharp temperature rise above the oven temperature was detected until the oven had stopped automatically because the test item reaches the 400°C at an oven temperature of 401,8°C.

Therefore, no self-ignition up to a temperature of 400°C is shown for Sodium surfactin.
