Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
14.09.2018 - 20.09 2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Type of method:
flask method
Specific details on test material used for the study:
200 μL of HPLC grade water was added to 502 mg of test material in a 2 mL clear glass vial.
Key result
Water solubility:
> 1 000 g/L
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Temp.:
20 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pH value
Remarks:
The pH is ordinarily only required to be reported for solutions used during formal analysis. Since in this case only preliminary informal testing was undertaken, the pH has not been included in the final report.
Details on results:
After shaking the mixture for a few minutes, a green solid remained in the lower half of the sample with a clear dark green solution in the upper portion of the sample. An additional 275 μL of HPLC grade water was added to the sample. The sample was sonicated for 30 minutes in an ultra-sonic bath to give a clear dark green solution. The solution was allowed to stand for a further three hours at 20°C. The sample remained as a clear dark green solution, no precipitation / crystallisation was observed.
Note: The test material had previously been isolated from an aqueous solution and dried to a water content of 2.25 %.
Conclusions:
Estimated Water Solubility: >1000 g/L

Description of key information

Estimated Water Solubility (g.L-1): > 1000

Key value for chemical safety assessment
