according to guideline
OECD Guideline 115 (Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions)
Type of method:
ring method
Surface tension:
71.26 mN/m
20.5 °C
1.03 g/L
According to OECD 115, the surface tension of test substance at 20.5ºC was determined to be 71.26 mN/m.
Executive summary:

The determination of the surface tensio of CR SR94 was performed in accordance with OECD Guideline no. 115. The surface tension of an aqueous test substance solution at a concentration of 1.03 g/L and at a temperature of 20.5 ℃ is 71.26 mN/m. Based on the criteria as outlined in the EEC guideline, CR SR94 is not surface active.

Description of key information

The surface tension of test substance at approximately 20.0°C was determined to be 71.26 mN/m.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Surface tension:
in mN/m at 20°C and concentration in mg/L:
