A number of valid skin sensitisation studies are available using the mixtures of the substances borated and unborated methyl tri, tetra and penta glycol ether. Since the borated product hydrolyses rapidly in the presence of water and therefore that the tested substance can be considered in vivo to be substantially the multi-constituent substance Tetra/Penta EGME, these results of these studies lead to the conclusion that skin sensitisation is not an important property of this substance.
