Details on sampling:
Analysis of the test medium, which were conducted during the experiment, confirming the conformity of the actual concentrations with the nominal concentrations.
Details on test solutions:
Identity and concentration of auxiliary solvent for dispersal: M4, Vorschrift Dr. Elendt-Schneider
Test organisms (species):
Daphnia magna
Total exposure duration:
48 h
Hardness:
250 mg CaCO3/L
pH:
The pH of the test medium rose with the increasing concentration of test substance (Alkaline effect).Another test was conducted with HCl to keep HCl at 8.1
Nominal and measured concentrations:
Nominal concentrations of 10 to 100 mg / l.
Details on test conditions:
Test was conducted in duplicates with 10 Dapnias per vessel

Details on results:
%Concentration loss over test: 0 ... 5In the test series with adjusted pH (8.1) a slightly increased toxicity with respect to the immobilization of Daphnia Magna was observed with 10 mg/ L NOEC. In the test series with increasing pH, the EC50 value of 100 mg / l changed after 24 hours to 45 mg / L. After 48 hours, with a confidence interval of 95%. The EC50 values were determined with 39-57 mg / l.In the test series with a constant pH (8.1), the EC50 value of 86 mg / l changed after 24 hours to 34 mg / l after 48 hours, with a confidence interval of 95%, the EC50 values of 26-54 mg / l were determined ,
Conclusions:
The caustic effect of the test substance had no influence on the toxicity. EC50(24h): 86mg/LEC50(48h): 34 mg/LEC100(48h): 100mg/LNOEC(48h): 10mg/L
Executive summary:

The short term toxicity (48h) of test substance was performed in Daphnia Magna according to the 92/69/EWG, C.2 Guideline under GLP conditions.

The test was conducted twice unbuffered and buffered with HCl. The caustic effect of the test substance had no influence on the toxicity. The test substance short-term (24 and 48 h) effect parameters (mobility based) to Daphnia Magna were: EC50(24h): 86mg/L; EC50(48h): 34 mg/L; EC100(48h): 100mg/L; NOEC(48h): 10mg/L.
