Reaction mass of dipotassium 2-(3,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl) succinate and dipotassium 2-(4,5-dimethy-1H-pyrazol-1-yl) succinate is not stable at environmentally relevant conditions. On contact with water the substance dissociates forming K+ and the conjugate acid (Reaction mass of 2-(3,4-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid and 2-(4,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)succinic acid; CAS 2241455-89-8).The molecule comprises no hydrolysable functional groups. Therefore, hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant pathway for this substance in the environment, and further testing on hydrolysis is not necessary. Experimental data on the conjugate acid demonstrate that the substance is not readily biodegradable. Nevertheless, it is degraded in soil with a half-life < 4 days and is thus not persistent in the environment.
