Description of key information

One study was performed according to OECD 202.

Based on the test results the NOEC, 48 h can be stated to be >= 0.257 mg/L and the EC50, 48 h can be stated to be > 0.257 mg/L, respectively.

Due to the results of the study, the test material does not meet the criteria for a classification as acute aquatic toxic.

For the classification as chronic aquatic toxic the following is considered:

- Up to the limit of the water solubility no toxicity was observed.

- The substance is not biodegradable as only 8 % degraded after 28 d.

- The substance is not likely to be bioaccumulative as the log Pow is below 4.

According to CLP regulation a "safety net" classification should be applied for poorly soluble substances that are not biodegradable. Thus a classification as chronic aquatic toxic 4, H413 does apply.
