Guideline:
other: Internal guideline
Principles of method if other than guideline:
The capillary method is a standard method for determining the melting point of a substance. In this method, fine capillary glass tubes containing the prepared samples of a substance are introduced into the heating block of a suitable apparatus. The block is then heated at a heating rate set over a temperature range framing the estimated melting temperature of the substance, until the substance has completely melted.
