First-aid measures

Eye Contact:

Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least fifteen minutes.

Get medical aid immediately. Assure adequate flushing by separating the eyelids with fingers.

Skin contact:

Get medical aid immediately. Flush skin with soap and water for at least fifteen minutes. Discard contaminated clothing.

Inhalation:

Move to fresh air, get medical help immediately if breathing is difficult.

Ingestion:

Wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Get immediate medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing Media:

Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol-resistant chemical foam or water spray recommended.

Special Firefighting Procedures:

Dry material is dangerously explosive.

Self-contained breathing apparatus and full protective gear recommended.

Unusual Fire and Explosions Hazards:

Explodes when heated.

Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions.

May be shock-sensitive.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:

Evacuate Area.

Wear self-contained breathing apparatus, chemical safety goggles, rubber boots and heavy rubber gloves.

Methods for Cleaning Up:

Do not attempt to sweep up dried material. Dampen with water before sweeping. Use non-sparking tools.

Take up mechanically and collect in suitable container for disposal. Ventilate area and wash off with plenty of water.

Environmental Precautions:

Sweep up, place in a bag and hold for waste disposal. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Avoid contact with skin and eyes, wear personal protective equipment. Avoid ingestion and inhalation.

Storage:

Invert stored container periodically to distribute moisture in container.

Store in a deluge type sprinkler area. Do not allow to freeze. Keep away from heat, sparks, and open flame.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Personal Protection:

NIOSH approved dust respirators are recommended when handling in areas of organic chemical dusting.

Safety glasses are also recommended.

Impervious clothing should be worn when gross contact is likely, such as cleaning up spills of large amounts.
