The purpose of this study was to experimentally determine the vapor pressure of Spectrace® MD-810 Marker (Lot No. RWS-2-43). The study was conducted according to procedures outlined in the protocol, "Spectrace® MD-810 Marker (Solvent Free): Determination of the Vapor Pressure Using the Spinning Rotor Gauge Method.

The test substance was a solid identified on the label as Spectrace® MD-810 Marker (Solvent Free); lot number RWS-2-43; TD number 04-049; with a purity of 95.23% (according to the certificate of analysis) and an expiration date of February 13, 2010.

The test substance was stored under ambient conditions. The spinning rotor gauge (SRG) system was used to determine vapor pressure. Measurements were initiated with the determination of system background pressure and out-gassing/leak rate in the absence of sample. The vacuum system and SRG were then exposed to the test substance, or a reference substance, maintained at 20 ± 1.0°C, until a steady state pressure was obtained. The sample was then isolated from the vacuum pumps and the pressure increase was monitored at 30-second intervals.
