After 60 weeks, the surviving animals were examined for tumours.

Among 24 mice there were 4 lung tumors (controls 1/29) and 4 liver tumours (controls 1/29).

No further details of the distribution of the tumours and the hispathological findings were available.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Benzene sulphonic acid hydrazide may have marginal tumorigenic activity in mice, but is not a strong carcinogen.
