During cooling, no effects were observed which were due to crystallization of the test substance.

To further investigate the freezing temperature of the test substance, two samples were stored for 19 hours at -22.0 ± 0.2 °C and -81.9 ± 1.9 °C respectively. It was observed after storage that the test substance was a viscous liquid (-20 °C freezer) and a very viscous liquid (-80 °C freezer). According to this it was concluded that the melting temperature of the test substance is < -80 °C (< 193 K).

Conclusions:
No further testing is required (< -20°C).
Executive summary:

The freezing point of the test substance was determined, under GLP, according to OECD 102 / EU A1 guideline, using Differential Scanning Calorimetry method.

The substance was first cooled down to -90°C, then re-heated. Crystallization or melting were not observed in the experiments performed by the DSC. Therefore a confirmatory limit test was conducted, with a subsample placed overnight in a freezer at -20 °C and at -80 °C: the substance was more viscous, but still liquid.

The freezing temperature of test substance was then determined to be < -80 °C.
