Conclusions:
The substance is provided as a 40% dilution in demineralized water. Testing “as is” resulted in boil out once the temperature exceeded 100°C. The substance was dried at 105°C to remove as much water as possible and then placed in the tester. The flame was passed across the cup every 2°C (temperature of the substance was raised at a rate of 5°C per minute). Flash point was recorded at the first sign of a flash. Flame point was recorded when the sample ignited and continued to burn for 5 seconds.
It was concluded from study observations that a concentrated water solution has a flash point of 125-135°C.
