Conclusion on classification

Degradation

Biodegradation:not readily biodegradable (11 % biodegradation after 28 days; OECD 301B)

Bioaccumulation

Expert statement: Bioaccumulation is assumed to be low.

Aquatic acute toxicity

Fish: 96 h, LC50 (Danio rerio) > 3.6 mg/L (geom. mean meas.; OECD 203)

Aquatic invertebrates: no data available

Algae:72 h, ErL50 (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): > 100 mg/L (nominal; OECD 201)

Aquatic chronic toxicity

Fish: no data available

Aquatic invertebrates: no data available (Test proposed to be conducted)

Algae: 72 h, NOELR (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata): ≥ 100 mg/L (nominal; OECD 201)

CLP

Based on the data above,Reaction product of 1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-triamine, polymer with formaldehyde, methylated and C16-18 fatty alcoholsis not readily biodegradable. No acute aquatic toxicity was observed up to the water solubility limit (< 15 µg/L at 20 °C and pH 6.3; OECD 105) for fish and algae. Valid chronic data are available with a NOELR (72 h) ≥ 100 mg/L (i.e. above the limit of water solubility) forPseudokirchneriella subcapitata. Thus,Reaction product of 1,3,5-Triazine-2,4,6-triamine, polymer with formaldehyde, methylated and C16-18 fatty alcoholsdoes not need to be classified and labelled as environmental hazardous according to the Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 andthe consolidated version of Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 and further amendments (ATPs).
