Additional information

The substance is an inorganic substance that does not contain chemical groups associated with explosive properties. In addition, the substance is expected to be thermally stable up to 1200 °C. The screening evaluation failed to evidence any reason of concern based on its chemical structure and thermal stability.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the CLP Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008, 2.1.4.2 the screening procedure is aimed at identifying the presence of reactive chemical groups and the potential for rapid energy release. If the screening procedure identifies the substance or mixture to be a potential explosive, the acceptance procedure (see section 10.3 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria) has to be performed.

The screening procedure failed to evidence any reason for concern on the basis of the chemical structure and thermal stability of the substance.

In conclusion, the substance can be considered non-explosive, according to the CLP Regulation (EC) No.1272/2008.
