Conclusions:
Due to the rapid hydrolysis of HMDZ, aquatic organisms are likely exposed primarily to its hydrolysis products, ammonia and trimethylsilanol. The following acute toxicity test result has been determined for aquatic species:

EC50 72h - Algae: 19 mg/l Scenedesmus subspicatus.
ErC50 algae: 50 mg/l Scenedesmus subspicatus.
