Exposure controls / personal protection

8.1. Control parameters

Contains no substances with occupational exposure limits.

8.2. Exposure controls

Personal protection : Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.

- Respiratory protection : Required when dusts are generated. Recommended filter device : P2

The Contractor shall ensure that maintenance, cleaning and control of respiratory protective devices are applied according to manufacturer's instructions. These measures must be properly documented.

- Skin protection : Protective clothing.

- Eye protection : Tightly fitting safety goggles.

- Hand protection :

Direct contact : Material of gloves : Nitrile rubber.

Layer thickness of gloves: 0.11 mm

Break through time : > 480 min

Splashing : Material of gloves : Nitrile rubber.

Layer thickness of gloves: 0.11 mm

Break through time : > 480 min

Protective gloves used must meet the specifications of EC directive 89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN374, for example KCL 741 Dermatril ® (full contact), KCL 741 Dermatril ® L (splash contact).

The breakthrough times stated above were determined by KCL in laboratory measurements according to EN 374 on samples of materials for the recommended glove types.

This recommendation applies only to the product stated in the safety data sheet that we provide and only for the purpose specified. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and / or conditions different from those of EN 374, contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves (eg KCL GmbH, D-36124 Eichenzell, Internet: www.kcl.de).

Hygiene measures : Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Preventive skin protection. Wash hands and face thoroughly after handling.

Environmental exposure controls : Do not allow product to reach sewage system.

Technical measures : Favor the use of engineering and operations over the appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
