with running water.

Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Recommended extinguishing agents: Water fog, foam, dry
powder, carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning: Products arising from pyrolysis: Products of combustion
include carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, ammonia, soot and
flammable organics.
Protective equipment: Protective equipment: Protective clothing and a
self-contained breathing apparatus are recommended.
Accidental release measures
Handling and storage
Handling: Use and handle the substance in a well ventilated area.
Wear suitable protective clothing, eg butyl gloves, boots
and chemical goggles. In case of insufficient ventilation
wear suitable repiratory equipment and a self-contained
breathing apparatus in confined areas. Monitor the
workplace for formaldehyde and methanol and ensure that the
relevant MEL and OES are observed.
Storage: Store in tightly closed containers in a cool
well-ventilated area away from sources of ignition.
