Details on results:
The amount of D-8 is calculated based on the peak areas as follows:
Solubility (g/L) = Cs x Vs x Au x F / As x Vu
whereas
Cs : Concentration of standard solution (g/L)
Vs : Injected volume of standard solution (µL)
As : Mean of integral peak area of standard
Vu : Injected volume of sample solution (µL)
Au : Mean of integral peak area of the sample
F : Concentration/dilution factor

The pH of the filtrate was 6.85. The solubility of D-8 increased with the time as showed in the table.

At the longest saturation time of 168 hours, the mean value was 19.7E-3 g/L at 25 °C.

Conclusions:
The solubility of D-8 in distilled water was determined according to the method CIPAC MT 10. The solubility of D-8 in distilled water was 19.7 mg/L at a pH of 6.85 and 25 °C.
Executive summary:

The solubility of D-8 in distilled water was determined according to the method CIPAC MT 10. About 3 mg of D-8 was weighed into each of six medium bottles and 50 mL of distilled water was added to each flask. They wre stoppered and immersed in an ultrasonic bath for 15 min below 30 °C. They were shaken at about 150 frequencies/min by a mechanical shaker for 40 min at 25 °C.

The flasks were kept at 25 °C for 0, 24 and 168 hours. The two of them were separately filtered through a membrane fliter (0.45.µm) under reduced pressure. About 10 mL of the initial filtrate was discarded. The rest of the filtrate was measured for pH, and 10 mL of the filtrate was pipetted into the 20 or 25 mL volumetric flask and diluted with methanol. An aliquot (10 µL) of the solution was duplicately injected into the HPLC and the amount of D-8 was calculated.

The solubility for D-8 in distilled water was 19.7 mg/L at a pH of 6.85 and 25 °C.
