Applicant's summary and conclusion

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes
Remarks:
Biodegradability of Na benzoate (in 14 days): Limit 60%; value > 87% Total CO2 released in blank (mg CO2/L in 28 days): Limit < 70%, value 61 (flask 1) - 59 (flask 2) Difference of extremes of replicate value: limit < 20%, value 16 %
Interpretation of results:
not readily biodegradable
Conclusions:
In our experimental conditions: 1-Propyl-2,3-Dimethylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide is not easily biodegradable. Biodegradability of 1-Propyl-2,3-Dimethylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide is about 5 % within the 28-days period of the test.
