Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
Solubility of isopropenyltoluene in water (flask method): 26.0 mg/L (20°C)
Executive summary:

The solubility in water of isopropenyltoluene (98.82% pure) was conducted at 20°C in accordance with the flask method described in the OECD Guidelines for the Testing of Chemicals 105 (water solubility). A solution of about 5 times the water solubility was prepared in water and stirred protected from light at 30°C (n=9). After 1 day, three flasks were taken out and equilibrated by allowing them to stand for 24 hrs protected from light at 20°C, followed by centrifugation of an aliquot taken from the center and HPLC analysis. The other 6 flasks were treated in the same way 2 and 3 days after stirring at 30°C. Water solubility at 20°C after 1, 2 and 3 days of stirring was 26.4, 24.8 and 26.8 mg/L, overall mean 26.0 mg/L (variation ≤4.6%).
