Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
09 January 2018 to 10 January 2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
Deviations:
no
GLP compliance:
yes (incl. QA statement)
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Source and lot/batch No.of test material: Sponsor and G316507
Key result
Remarks on result:
no self-ignition observed up to the melting point

The sample tracked the oven temperature until approximately 163 °C where the sample entered an exothermic event. A second exothermic event was observed at 204 °C. The sample then returned to

track the oven temperature for the duration of the test.

The sample did not reach 400°C by self-heating.

Conclusions:
Based on the results obtained the substance is considered ‘not self-ignitable’.
