Abiotic degradation of reaction mass of Heptanoic acid 3-pentanoyloxy-2,2-bis-pentanoyloxymethyl-propyl ester, Heptanoic acid 2-heptanoyloxymethyl-3-pentanoyloxy-2-pentanoyloxymethyl-propyl ester and Heptanoic acid 3-heptanoyloxy-2-heptanoyloxymethyl-2-pentanoyloxymethyl-propyl ester (former CAS 68441-94-1) is not a relevant pathway. The structure of the substance would indicate that photodegradation might play a role as rapid degradation process. However, indirect photodegradation in air is not a relevant route since the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere due to the low vapor pressure. Since the test substance is determined to be readily biodegradable hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant degradation pathway as well.
