Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

2 deviations which have minor to no impact on the study conclusion

Key result
Type:
log Pow
Partition coefficient:
>= 2.33 - <= 6.17
Temp.:
39.6 °C
pH:
ca. 6.5
Remarks on result:
other: the pH value is the pH of ultrapure water
Details on results:
The values of log Pow derived from individual measurements of the test item are within a range of 0.1 log unit, so within the criteria of the OECD 117 guideline.

Deviations to the study plan:

-Deviation No 1 : The Log Pow was in the range 2.33 to 6.17 so it is not in the applicability range 0 to 6 as described in the § 8 « APPLICABILITY » of the Study plan (in accordance with the OECD guideline 117).

This deviation has minor impact on the study conclusion. Indeed, the reference item 4,4’-DDT proposed by the guideline has a log Kow value of 6.5. Moreover, there is at least one reference substance with a retention time below and one after the test item retention time and the linear regression used by the method has a good coefficient of determination (0.9923).

-Deviation No 2 : The expiry date of the reference items Thymol (03.Jan.2018) and 4-chloroaniline (19.Feb.2018) was reached when the HPLC analysis was realised.

This deviation has no impact on the study conclusion. Only one peak was observed on the chromatogram for each reference item so the reference item was not altered during the storage. Moreover, no quantification is required for the test OCDE 117.

Conclusions:
The estimated Partition Coefficient (Pow) logarithm of the solvent red 24 mix was in the range 2.33 to 6.17.
