Adsorption/Desorption:

The adsorption/desorption test with hydroxypropylated .beta.-cyclodextrin was conducted in Mutchler clay loam (clay loam), Mutchler sandy loam (sandy loam) and Wisconsin loam (loam) soils using 0.01 M CaCl2 at a 5:1 solution to soil ratio. The results of this study indicate that hydroxypropylated .beta.-cyclodextrin is not bound to organic matter and is therefore considered highly mobile in Mutchler clay loam, Mutchler sandy loam and Wisconsin loam soils.
