Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the relative self ignition temperature of the test substance according to EU Method A16, in compliance with GLP. During the study, the test substance entered a shallow endotherm at approximately 42°C and then rose up at 234°C into a very shallow exotherm but did not reach 400°C by self-heating. On completion of testing a black residue remained. Based on the study results, it was concluded that no self ignition observed under the test conditions (Chilworth, 2017). Under the study conditions, the self-ignition temperature of the test substance can be considered to be >400°C.
