Melting / freezing point

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline OECD 102, under GLP conditions, the melting point of the test substance has been determined to be less than -20 °C (Intertek, 2018).

 

Boiling point

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline EU Test Method A.2 under GLP conditions, the boiling point of the test substance has been determined to be greater than 300°C (Intertek, 2018).

 

Density

Key study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline EU Test Method A.3 under GLP conditions, the relative density of the test substance has been determined to be 0.95 ± 0.01 (Intertek, 2018).

 

Particle size distribution (Granulometry)

The study is technically not feasible; the study does not need tot be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form (the substance is a liquid).

 

Vapour pressure

Key Study

Determination of the vapour pressure for the highly viscous test item was “not technically feasible” because the substance could not be loaded into the testing apparatus (Intertek, 2018).

 

Partition coefficient

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guidelines EU Test Method A.8, under GLP conditions. The initial preparation of test solutions for determination of the partition coefficient was performed using the shake flask method, however subsequent surface tension analysis determined that the test item was surface active, and thus this method was not appropriate. The octanol solubility stirring test was used to prepare the test solutions for LC-MS analysis and the results were used in conjunction with the solubility results from the surface tension testing to estimate the partition coefficient. The partition coefficient of the test substance has been determined to be >5.95 (Component 1), >5.26 (Component 2) and >5.95 (Component 3). (Intertek, 2018).

 

Water solubility

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline EU Test Method A.6, under GLP conditions, the water solubility of the test material in distilled water has been determined to be below the limit of quantification for the method and therefore resluts are represented as <LOQ values .

 

Surface tension

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline EU Test Method A.5 under GLP conditions, the surface tension of the test material has been determined to be 53.2 mM/m at 25.0°C (Intertek, 2018).

 

Flash point

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline EU Test Method A.9 under GLP conditions, the flash point of the test material has been determined to be >200 °C (Intertek, 2018).

 

Auto flammability

Key Study

In a study performed to the standardised guideline EU Test Method A.15 under GLP conditions, the auto flammability of the test material has been determined to be 356 °C (Intertek, 2018).
