Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation:
Move injured person into fresh air and keep person calm under observation.
If uncomfortable: Seek hospital and bring these instructions.

Skin contact:
Remove contaminated clothing immediately and wash skin with soap and water. In case of rashes, wounds or other skin disorders: Seek medical attention and bring along these instructions.

Eye contact:
Do not rub eye. Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids widely.
If irritation persists: Continue flushing during transport to hospital. Bring along these instructions.

Ingestion:
Immediately rinse mouth and drink plenty of water or milk. Keep person under observation. Do not induce vomiting. If vomiting occurs, keep head low. Seek medical attention and bring along these instructions.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: Use fire-extinguishing media appropriate for surrounding materials.

Specific hazards: During fire, gases hazardous to health may be formed.

Protective equipment for firefighters: Selection of respiratory protection for fire fighting: follow the general fire precautions indicated in the workplace.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions:
Follow precautions for safe handling described in this safety data sheet. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and inhalation of dust.

Environmental precautions:
Avoid spreading dust or contaminated materials. Prevent spills to enter and spread to drains, sewers, water courses, and soil.

Methods for cleaning up:
Use PPE. Use a vacuum cleaner, sweep up or use a cloth. If not possible, moisten with water before it is collected. Wash contaminated area with water.

Handling and storage

Safe handling advice:
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Observe good chemical hygiene practices. Observe good laboratory/industrial hygiene practices.

Technical measures:
Use work methods which minimise contact.

Technical precautions:
Mechanical ventilation may be required. Provide easy access to water supply and eye wash facilities.

Storage conditions:
Store in closed original container in a cool, dry place.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Engineering measures: Provide adequate ventilation. Observe occupational exposure limits for dust.

Personal protection: Personal protection equipment should be chosen according to the CEN standards and in discussion with the supplier of the personal protective equipment.

Respiratory equipment: During dust-raising work: Use respiratory equipment with particle filter, type P2.

Hand protection: In case of contact: wear protective gloves. Nitrile gloves are recommended. Other types of gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.

Eye protection: Risk of splashes: Wear goggles/face shield.

Skin protection: Wear normal protective clothing.

Hygiene measures: Wash the skin with soap and water after work.

Stability and reactivity

Stability: Stable under normal temperature conditions.
